Krak Samphors

Krak Samphors (Khmer: ក្រាក់ សម្ភស្ស), famously known as “The Life-Taking Steel Shinbone Warrior,” is a retired Kun Khmer fighter born in 1976 in Roluos Village, Roluos Commune, Bakong District, Siem Reap Province, Cambodia. In 2024, Samphors made a return to the ring, aiming to showcase his legendary skills and earn support for his gym. His comeback was met with great enthusiasm from fans, and he found success in his first few fights, impressing everyone with his enduring prowess. However, in his latest bouts, he fell short, being knocked down by younger and faster opponents. Presumably retired once again, Samphors now focuses on training the next generation of fighters.

There is information suggesting that he had over 1,000 bouts, but this figure is often met with skepticism, particularly given the infrequent fighting events in the old days. However, some believe it could be plausible if both formal and informal fights are taken into account.

Known for his lethal high kick that earned him the moniker “The Life-taking Steel shinbone Warrior,” Samphors has left a trail of awe and admiration in the hearts of fans. His fighting style is a testament to the rich tradition of Kun Khmer, a discipline deeply rooted in Cambodian culture.

Despite his current achievements, Samphors faced a hiatus in his career two decades ago. The challenges of matchmaking and the meager fight prizes during that period led him to step away from the ring. He transitioned to working as a construction worker, facing the struggles of a different kind. However, a few years ago, fueled by unwavering support from his fans, Samphors made a triumphant return to the ring, rekindling his passion for Kun Khmer.

His resurgence has been marked by dedication, perseverance, and an unyielding commitment to the sport that defines him.As of the last update on 06/01/2024, provided by Krud Kun Khmer on TVK, Krak Samphors continues to leave an indelible mark on the Kun Khmer landscape.

Stay tuned for more updates on this remarkable fighter as additional information becomes available and can be verified.

NOTE: Fight records of Kun Khmer fighters vary across TV stations. Therefore, I maintain an independent tally, adding one after each new fight to ensure consistency. These statistics include bouts under all rules such as Kun Khmer, Mas Fight, MMA, and Kickboxing and at all levels, including amateur fights, as Kun Khmer has historically lacked a standardized recording system. As a result, totals may appear higher than those of some international fighters, whose records often include only professional bouts.
