Chan Rothana

Chan Rothana (Khmer: ចាន់ រតនា), a Cambodian mixed martial artist, has made a mark in the highly competitive ONE Championship, a renowned martial arts organization in Asia. Born on June 19, 1986, in Siem Reap, Cambodia, Rothana is recognized for his expertise in Kun Khmer, a traditional Cambodian martial art.

Transitioning into mixed martial arts (MMA), he competes on a global stage, contributing significantly to the growth of martial arts in Cambodia.

With a notable career spanning various disciplines, Rothana is associated with the FFG/Selapak team. Standing at approximately 168cm and weighing 64kg, he has become a key figure in the ONE Championship Featherweight Grand Prix.

Rothana’s early exposure to martial arts stems from his father, a master of the Khmer martial art Yutakhun Khom. Beginning his journey in Kun Khmer at the age of 17, Rothana boasts an impressive record of over 90 competitions without experiencing a stoppage loss. Additionally holding a black belt in taekwondo, he decided to venture into mixed martial arts after learning about ONE Championship in 2014, achieving his goal by securing a spot on the promotion’s roster.

In his professional mixed martial arts debut, Rothana showcased his powerful and dynamic striking style, captivating audiences across Asia. He has participated in multiple events, displaying resilience and determination in the cage.
