Dim Sarom

Dim Sarom (Khmer: ឌឹម សារំ), born in 2008 in Kampong Speu Province, is a rising Kun Khmer fighter competing in the 51-kilogram division. Known by the moniker Phka Rik Bang Sleuk (“The Hidden Flower”), he stands 1.62 meters tall and fights from a southpaw stance, with a style that places particular emphasis on his punching.

He trains at Kun Khmer International Fight Gym (KKIF Gym) under the guidance of Sam Ang Dun. His development has taken place primarily within the KKIF system. He has also spent time training in the Philippines, where he trained for approximately three months at Manny Pacquiao’s boxing gym while continuing his regular preparation with KKIF. That period contributed to the refinement of his boxing technique and movement.

Earlier in his career, Sarom was often matched against more established opponents as a test. As he gained experience, he began facing a broader range of domestic and international fighters. His bouts are often noted for their technical execution, particularly his hand work, movement, and defensive control, which remain consistent features of his approach regardless of the result.

In mid-2025, Sarom defeated Pich Singhak by decision. Later that year, he earned a win over Afghan fighter Penkak Mohamad, who was trained under Sen Bunthen, before losing a subsequent rematch by points.

On 7 February 2026, Sarom faced Pich Singhak again in a title bout promoted by TVK. He won the fight by decision, earning the first belt of his Kun Khmer career. Still early in his professional path, Sarom continues to take on new challenges as his experience grows and his position within the Kun Khmer scene continues to develop..

NOTE: Fight records of Kun Khmer fighters vary across TV stations. Therefore, I maintain an independent tally, adding one after each new fight to ensure consistency. These statistics include bouts under all rules such as Kun Khmer, Mas Fight, MMA, and Kickboxing and at all levels, including amateur fights, as Kun Khmer has historically lacked a standardized recording system. As a result, totals may appear higher than those of some international fighters, whose records often include only professional bouts.
