Em Daro

Em Daro (Khmer: ឯម ដារ៉ូ) is a professional Kun Khmer fighter born in 2002 in Prey Veng Province, Cambodia. Standing at 1.70 meters tall and competing in the 65-kilogram weight class, he fights with a southpaw stance.

Daro began his journey in Kun Khmer at Thmor Kol Boxing Gym in Pursat Province, where he developed a reputation as a challenging competitor. Over time, Daro transitioned to Kun Khmer Daun Ta, where he continues to refine his craft under the mentorship of Coach Khim Socheat.

In addition to his Kun Khmer career, Daro ventured into mixed martial arts (MMA), training with Cambodia Top Team, one of the premier MMA gyms in the country. Under the guidance of Hun Chan Reach, the gym’s head, Daro signed an MMA competition agreement. However, his MMA career remains limited, with only one documented bout—a first-round TKO victory against Thai fighter Bunlaigun Bundasuk on January 21, 2023. Despite this success, Daro ultimately returned to his roots in Kun Khmer, where he has since focused his efforts. For Em Daro, Kun Khmer is more than just a profession; it is a lifelong pursuit that connects him to Cambodia’s rich martial arts heritage..

NOTE: Fight records of Kun Khmer fighters vary across TV stations. Therefore, I maintain an independent tally, adding one after each new fight to ensure consistency. These statistics include bouts under all rules such as Kun Khmer, Mas Fight, MMA, and Kickboxing and at all levels, including amateur fights, as Kun Khmer has historically lacked a standardized recording system. As a result, totals may appear higher than those of some international fighters, whose records often include only professional bouts.
