Khim Dima

Khim Dima (Khmer: ឃឹម ឌីម៉ា), also known as Khun Dima, is a professional Kun Khmer fighter born in 1990 in the province of Banteay Mean Chey. He is widely recognized in the boxing world by his moniker, “Neak Khmao Pikheat,” translated as “the Black Killer Naga/Dragon.” This nickname represents Dima’s formidable aura and relentless tenacity in the ring, similar to the mythical creature it evokes.

    Personal Life

Outside the ring, Dima is the elder brother to Khim Bora, another notable figure in the Kun Khmer circuit. Their shared dedication to the sport has not only solidified their personal legacies but also significantly amplified the growth and recognition of Kun Khmer on both national and international stages.

    Journey into Kun Khmer

Dima’s journey into the world of Kun Khmer has been one of inspiration and craftsmanship. Under the mentorship of his father, Master Heng Bunkhim, Dima has meticulously honed his fighting skills and cultivated a unique style, propelling him to prominence in the Kun Khmer world.

    Achievements

In the realm of Cambodian boxing, Dima has significantly contributed by setting new standards of excellence, particularly in Kun Khmer. His exceptional skills were put on display at the SEA Games 2017, hosted in Malaysia. He claimed Cambodia’s first gold medal in the Kick Boxing category, marking a significant milestone in the country’s boxing history. Beyond this, in November 2023, Dima achieved another significant career triumph by securing the Krud Kun Khmer Title. This victory over an Argentine fighter further accentuated his growing list of boxing achievements.

Throughout his career, Dima has claimed several titles, including championships from prominent organizations such as TV3 in 2013, SEA TV in 2017, CNC TV in 2017, and France in 2019.

Resurgence: Dima’s Return to the Spotlight

After a hiatus from the ring, during which time he faced challenges such as injuries, Dima’s enduring passion for martial arts drew him back to the arena. His return has been marked by impressive displays of skill and resilience. Despite the setbacks, Dima has emerged victorious, often securing wins through TKOs, much to the delight of his dedicated fan base. His comeback serves as a testament to his unwavering commitment and determination to excel in the sport he loves.

In mid-2024, Dima was forced to take another long break after suffering a severe leg injury, and there were doubts about whether he would ever return to the ring. However, on 22 February 2026, he made a comeback bout, though it remains unclear if this marks a permanent return to competition. He secured a decisive Round 1 TKO victory over his Malaysian opponent, finishing the fight with a devastating strike to the face.

NOTE: Fight records of Kun Khmer fighters vary across TV stations. Therefore, I maintain an independent tally, adding one after each new fight to ensure consistency. These statistics include bouts under all rules such as Kun Khmer, Mas Fight, MMA, and Kickboxing and at all levels, including amateur fights, as Kun Khmer has historically lacked a standardized recording system. As a result, totals may appear higher than those of some international fighters, whose records often include only professional bouts.
