Long Ada

Long Ada (Khmer: ឡុង អាដា) , born in 2006, is a Kun Khmer fighter from Kandal Province, Cambodia. He began training in martial arts at a young age and has since dedicated himself to mastering Kun Khmer. Standing at 1.72 meters tall and competing in the 65 kg weight class, Ada fights with an orthodox stance and trains under the guidance of Mr. Ricky at Klarokhen Mean Rith Gym, which translates to “The Mighty Panther.”

The name “Long Ada” carries personal significance, as it was given to him by the owner of Klarokhen Mean Rith Gym. It honors Ms. Long Ravy, the late founder of the gym, by incorporating her surname into his ring name. This gesture reflects Ada’s deep connection to the gym and its legacy.

Ada’s career in Kun Khmer has been marked by both success and challenges. At one point, he held an impressive streak of 13 undefeated bouts, including 10 wins by technical knockout (TKO), two victories by points, and one draw. His aggressive style and ability to finish fights have earned him recognition within the sport. Recently, his success against international opponents secured him a spot in a round-robin tournament for the prestigious IPCC Kun Khmer title.

However, during the tournament, Ada faced a setback in his bout against Chun Kakada. He failed to make the required weight for his division, resulting in disqualification under the event’s rules. While he was still allowed to compete for other prizes, the disqualification meant he forfeited the championship points needed to advance to the next stage. Though still early in his career, Long Ada has shown the potential to become one of the notable figures in Kun Khmer. His journey reflects the highs and lows inherent in combat sports, where discipline, perseverance, and growth are central to success.
