Born in 1997 in Mohaleap village, Roka Kong commune, Koh Sotin District, Kampong Cham province, Sokhuch’s journey to becoming a premier Kun Khmer boxer is etched with tales of hardship and unyielding struggle.

Towering at 1.70 meters and weighing 65 kilograms, Sokhuch, a kick specialist adept in the styles Kun Khmer, has etched his fighting prowess into the annals of the sport. Sokhuch’s formative years were marked by financial adversity within a large family. Born into a farming household with 12 siblings, economic strains compelled him to forsake his education at the age of 14, halting at the 4th grade.

In 2007, seeking better prospects, he journeyed to Phnom Penh, taking on the role of a construction laborer and earning a meager income that barely sustained his needs.
