Sengtry Kun Khmer (Khmer: សេងទ្រីគុនខ្មែរ), born in 2007 in Prey Veng province, has swiftly emerged as a rising star in the world of Kun Khmer. This young talent has made a significant impact with his remarkable skills and impressive record.

Seng Try, now known by his stage name Sentry Kun Khmer, has captured the attention of fans with his exceptional performance, boasting a fight record that reflects his prowess within the ring.

Trained under the guidance of experienced coaches Bird Samkhann and Ly Phea at Kun Khmer Daun Ta Gym, Seng Try has honed his skills in the sphere of Kun Khmer.

As a southpaw fighter, Seng Try has demonstrated his mastery of the art, showcasing a style that combines precision and power.

His boxing journey began under the mentorship of Master Elit Sorn at the Elit Sorn Academy, where he initially gained recognition as Elit Sengtry. However, due to unforeseen circumstances leading to the closure of the gym, Seng Try, along with his fellow disciples, transitioned to the town-managed gym, Kun Khmer Daun Ta. With this change, Seng Try adopted his new stage name, Sentry Kun Khmer, aligning himself with his new training ground.

Despite his youth, Seng Try’s fight record speaks volumes about his talent and determination. As of February 24, 2024, he has participated in a total of 43 bouts, securing an impressive 36 wins, with only 5 losses and 1 draw. Notably, he has achieved a remarkable 21 victories by way of TKO, showcasing his proficiency in delivering powerful and strategic strikes, reflecting one of the highest TKO over wins ratios.

Although Seng Try has yet to acquire a widely recognized nickname, fans often affectionately refer to him as “Kaeng Pikheat,” translating to “the Keller Elbow.” His unique style and devastating elbow strikes have left a lasting impression on the Kun Khmer community.
